Being aware of your body is a great first step to mindfulness! Do youclench your jaw or slouch your shoulders? Noticing tension in your body can help you relax, manage stress better and increase mindfulness! Being aware of your thoughts in real time is critical to increasing mindfulness. What temptations do you have throughout the day? What thoughts distract you? What are your triggers? Being aware of your thoughts is the next step to improved mindfulness. The ability to control your attention is the final step to increased mindfulness! Once you can be aware of your body and thoughts then it is time to direct your focus! By noticing thoughts you can become more aware and then direct them to increase your focus!
